RAS are Winners of ‘The Most Innovative Physical Solution’ at the Fraud Awards 2020!
The Fraud Awards 2020 finally took place on the 22nd July 2021 at the Novotel London West.
The Retail Knowledge Fraud Awards recognise outstanding performance of vendors and retailers working in the retail sector, as judged by their peers, in dealing with risk and asset protection.
The Awards were compered by TV comedian Stephen Grant, who helped to make the evening a truly outstanding event.
RAS and M&S were honoured to receive one of the highest accolades in the industry for the category of ‘The Most Innovative Physical Solution’. In this category the judges were looking for innovative approaches to an existing, tried and tested solution or genre.
The Award-Winning Solution
In partnership with RAS, M&S trialled our ‘Hybrid RFID + barcode’ solution powered by RFKeeper which enables the presentation of one combined stocktake file and dashboard.
The solution has enabled M&S to benefit from lower resource requirements, reduced external stocktake costs and it has facilitated faster counts. Crucially it has also achieved their objective of significantly increasing its stock file accuracy.
Through delivering this cost effective and accurate barcode and RFID Hybrid counting, M&S have made savings from their previous processes and the new system has already proven to be more accurate and efficient for stock replenishment purposes. Subsequently, externalising counts with a reduced manning requirement has also assisted continual stock monitoring throughout the covid-19 pandemic.
The Award was received by Keith Holt, Head of RFID, Retail & Asset Solutions and Zarah Adato-Barber, RFID Strategic Development Manager, M&S.
Lois Heywood, Retail & Asset Solutions CEO said “I am incredibly proud of the RAS RFID team for persevering with their vision that our solution could be more efficient, more accurate and provide our clients with clear visibility of their stock data. Thanks must go to our partners Denso Wave and RFKeeper and of course to M&S, whom have always been pioneers in the practical implementation of RFID technology.”
