The Drop and Drive Claims Workgroup; Simply Supply Chain and Futura Foods are WINNERS of the Food & Drink Category in the Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2020. The virtual awards were held on 12th November 2020 to celebrate true Supply Chain Excellence.
The judges commended the entry by saying “the workgroup solved a problem that needed to be fixed and we were very impressed by the collaboration developed between suppliers and retailers”.
RAS have been working with the Drop and Drive Claims Workgroup, whose members have partnered to develop and share best practice in how to reduce errors, reduce claims deducted, as well as gathering the vital data that maintains the right level of pressure on retail reform. Established back in 2014, many suppliers were initially losing millions off their bottom line in unsubstantiated claims; with the introduction of the RAS Good Faith Receipting / Receiving (GFR) and ongoing stakeholder engagement, the group is now seeing total claims reduced by 85% in 2020.
RAS Supply Chain Management is the UK and Europe’s only end-to-end bespoke supply chain audit service provider with over 30 years’ experience of providing major grocery and DIY retailers with complete supply chain solutions. Our GFR solution enables suppliers to ‘drop & drive’ goods; allowing their delivery vehicles more time on the road and less time in the DC’s.

“Championing an industry-wide collaboration is no small task, so a huge thank you also goes to all suppliers, retailers, service providers and regulators, with a special mention for Culina and Retail & Asset Solutions, for their commitment and determination to join forces and work together towards a common goal.
We are equally delighted to have been commended by ASDA, Tesco and The Grocery Code Adjudicator, for facilitating the collaboration that has resulted in industry-wide change and their ongoing commitment to support our initiatives in the coming months.”
