Dune London is a UK-based fashion retailer specialising in stylish and contemporary footwear and accessories. With a strong global presence, both online and in physical stores, the brand is widely recognised for its high-quality craftsmanship and trend-led collections for men and women.
The Challenge
Dune had long operated a hybrid model for stocktaking: internal teams managed smaller locations, while larger stores were audited by RAS. However, their in-house stocktaking hardware had exceeded its useful life, limiting productivity and risking data consistency.
To stay aligned with their growing operational demands, Dune needed a modern solution that could deliver seamless performance, both internally and across outsourced audits.

Implementation
All devices were pre-provisioned at RAS facilities for immediate deployment, ensuring a rapid rollout with minimal input required from internal IT teams.
RAS Technology worked directly with Dune’s IT department to manage the secure installation of software on internal laptops.
To support user adoption, RAS developed a bespoke training programme and delivered in-person training sessions at Dune’s offices, supported by detailed documentation.
Implementation was accelerated by the fact that RAS had already developed a suite of bespoke reports specifically aligned with Dune’s store formats and stocktaking requirements.
The Solution
Chosen Hardware
Dune selected the Denso BHT-M60 handheld terminal. Chosen for its robust construction, ergonomic design, and proven durability, the M60 was the ideal successor to their legacy Denso devices, trusted tools that had long stood the test of time.
Stocktaking Software
To support data capture and reporting, the RAS Start software platform was deployed. It offered the flexibility to install locally on Dune laptops while enabling cloud-based access for creating, managing, and analysing stocktakes in real time.
As an existing fully managed client, Dune was able to standardise their reporting and streamline internal processes with minimal disruption.
Device Security & Management
To ensure device security and ease of use, RAS supplied and configured SureMDM and SureLock across all units. This ensured each device was locked down, reducing potential misuse and offering a simplified interface tailored to Dune’s internal users.
The Results
Dune quickly transitioned away from outdated hardware and processes, embracing a more modern, efficient, and secure way of managing stocktakes.
Stocktakes are now faster, more accurate, and easier to manage. Internal teams operate with confidence, supported by the RAS helpdesk and comprehensive training materials.
